About the site

Is PriceReviews a shop?

No. We're a comparison service. We show you offers and hand you to the retailer, who takes the payment and fulfils the order. We never see your card details and never receive your order.

Does using PriceReviews cost anything?

No, and buying through our links doesn't change the price you pay the retailer. There's no membership, no fee and no premium tier.

How do you make money?

Retailers pay us to appear here. Some pay per click, when you click through to them; others pay a commission when you buy. It buys a retailer a place on the page and nothing more: the order of a comparison is computed from the prices retailers give us, and what they pay has no bearing on it or on what we say about an offer.

Who decides the order offers appear in?

Nobody, in the sense you might mean. The offer table is sorted on the total price each retailer sends us, cheapest first, with condition and availability taken into account so a used or out-of-stock offer can't take a best-deal badge. Which products get a comparison page at all is decided by whether enough retailers in our network stock them.

Prices and products

The retailer's price is different from yours. Why?

Our prices come from retailer feeds fetched daily, and retailers can change a price at any moment. The retailer's price at checkout is always the real one. If you see a mismatch, tell us: we correct reported discrepancies within the hour, and a persistent gap usually means a feed problem we can fix at source.

Does the price include delivery?

Where a retailer sends us a total for an offer, that total is theirs and it is what we sort on. We don't break it down into item price plus delivery, because we would be guessing at the split, and we never add a delivery charge of our own. Check the retailer's own page for exactly what their total covers before you pay.

What is the "total price"?

The total the retailer states for that offer. It is the default sort, because a cheaper headline price that grows at checkout is often the more expensive option.

Something is listed in stock but isn't.

Stock is as current as the retailer's last feed update, and popular items sell out inside that window. Report it and we'll suppress the offer if that retailer's stock data proves unreliable.

Can a retailer pay to be first?

No. There is nothing to buy: no ad slots, no sponsored positions, no category sponsorships. Retailers pay us per click, and the click costs the same wherever their offer ranks.

Why do some products have no comparison table?

Because only one retailer we track stocks them. A one-row table isn't a comparison, so we show the single offer honestly instead of dressing it up.

Orders, delivery and returns

My order hasn't arrived.

Contact the retailer you bought from, they hold the order, the payment and the delivery, and we have no access to any of it. Our delivery and returns page explains the steps. If they're unresponsive, tell us: repeated problems affect whether we keep listing them.

How do I return something?

Under the retailer's returns policy, through the retailer. Their terms applied at checkout, not ours.

Can you cancel or change my order?

No, we never had it. Only the retailer can.

A retailer is refusing my legal rights.

Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act are against the retailer who sold to you. Citizens Advice can help, and your payment provider may have a dispute process. Please also tell us, because it affects that retailer's standing with us.

Privacy and data

What do you collect?

Anonymous analytics about how pages are used, and anything you deliberately give us: an email address for a price alert, or a message through a form. We don't ask you to create an account and we never take payment details. The privacy notice has the detail.

How do price alerts work?

You give us an email address and the total price you want to hear about. We send one confirmation email; the alert only becomes active when you click the link in it. When the price is met we email you once and the alert closes. Every message has a one-click unsubscribe.

Do you sell my data?

No.

How do I get my data deleted?

Email admin@pricereviews.com from the address concerned and ask. We'll confirm once it's done.

Still stuck?

Send us the page address and what you're seeing. We reply within two business days.
